TechVouchers facilitate collaboration opportunities for innovative businesses addressing pandemic related disruptions

The NSW Government has introduced a new grant opportunity for innovative NSW businesses. The Covid-19 TechVouchers offer matched funding up to $50,000.  Successful applicants must collaborate with Publicly Funded Research Organisations (‘PFRO’) to address issues related to the impacts of the pandemic. There are 11 universities as well as a range of Government organisations including the CSIRO and ANSTO that are classed as eligible PFROs.

There are two streams of funding. Stream one is for smaller R&D projects that have an intended duration of up to 6 months. Companies that apply for this stream can access matched funding of up to $25,000. Stream two is for larger R&D projects with an intended project duration of up to 12 months. This stream offers matched funding up to $50,000. The TechVouchers can only be used to reimburse the business for paid PFRO invoices for contracted services.

NSW based companies that are looking to apply for this grant must have been operating for at least 12 months, and must have at least $150,000 in sales revenue or operating expenditure for the last 12 months or financial year.

This grant opportunity closes at 5pm on the 29th of October 2021, or when the available funding is exhausted.
